1920 – Louis Patmont begins bottling water in Town of Lake, Wisconsin.
1924 – Patmont renames the company Black Bear Bottling in honor of his pet bear cub.
1932 – Black Bear Bottling begins producing soda in 12 ounce returnable bottles.
1961 – The Caruso family takes ownership of Black Bear Bottling plant, now in
St. Francis, Wisconsin.
1970 – Black Bear Bottling introduces 12 ounce non-returnable but recyclable glass
bottles of soda.
1994 – Black Bear Bottling adds recyclable plastic (PET) bottles in 20oz and 1 L sizes.
2001 – Black Bear Bottling moves production facility from the 10,000 square foot
facility to a new 80,000 square foot facility in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
2010 – Black Bear Bottling, LLC achieves SQF 2000 Level 2 Certification.
